Memory Detectives

October 24, 2026 · History San Jose

How does your brain remember the past? At this Halloween community activity, visitors explored memory through a spooky-scene challenge.

What we explored

  • Look carefully at a spooky scene for 30 seconds.

  • Cover the picture and answer questions about what you remember.

  • Compare your answers with the scene and notice which details stayed with you.

The activity connected observation and recall with a conversation about how the brain remembers.
